We are looking to recruit a full-time Senior Healthcare Support Worker to join our friendly and dedicated team within the busy Devon Sexual Health Service (Torbay site).

Working under the supervision of qualified nursing and medical staff, the post holder will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth and effective running of our clinics. The role involves a variety of both clinical and non-clinical duties, including chaperoning patients during examinations and procedures, undertaking venepuncture, preparing and stocking clinical rooms, ordering supplies, managing samples, maintaining accurate patient records, and entering data onto relevant systems.

The successful candidate will receive comprehensive Trust and in-house training, along with competency-based assessments to support their development within the role.

Previous experience in sexual health would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training will be provided. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and motivated to deliver excellent patient-centred care, with the willingness to learn and develop new skills within a supportive team environment.

The ability to communicate effectively and interact professionally, sensitively, and respectfully with patients and colleagues is essential. As we care for a diverse patient population, the post holder must demonstrate a non-judgemental approach, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to maintaining patient dignity, confidentiality, and inclusion at all times.

Working pattern - We are currently open Monday - Friday 08.00-20.00, May include Saturdays in the future.
