Optional cookie
We set this one only if you accept. It holds a random id — not your name or email — that lets us tell a returning browser from a new one. If you have signed in on that browser before, it also lets us see that a return visit came from a registered member rather than an anonymous one.

Rejecting it, or withdrawing consent later, deletes the id from your browser and removes the stored link between that id and any account, so nothing is left that could recognise you again.
What we record without cookies
Our servers log each page view — the page, the time, the approximate location and network derived from your IP address, and your browser and device type. This happens whatever you choose above, because it does not store anything on your device. We use it to understand which vacancies people are looking for and to keep automated traffic out of our figures. Without the optional cookie these records are not linked to you between visits.
