As a Ward Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of staff, patient care, and resources within a community hospital ward. The role involves providing supportive leadership to the nursing team, ensuring high standards of care and efficient use of resources in patient rehabilitation. You will work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team to help prevent avoidable hospital admissions and support timely discharges in coordination with the Integrated Neighbourhood Care Team and other partners. Deliver expert nursing care, promote best practices, and guide staff in maintaining quality standards. Offer professional advice, recognize personal limitations, and seek support when needed. Ensure the unit meets all CQC requirements with appropriate evidence. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the team through changes and the development of our service and provide a positive and visible clinical presence on the ward. You will be part of a supportive and friendly senior ops team across the four inpatient wards in Wiltshire.

Qualifications

Essential

  • NMC 1st Level registration qualification, Further training and experience to Masters level or equivalent, A teaching qualification, Evidence of post registration development, Significant post registration experience, Recent acute medical or surgical experience.
