To provide professional and strategic leadership to all HCPC registered staff within the Therapies and Specialist Rehabilitation Business Unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe and patient-centred services.
To lead professional governance and quality assurance across Therapy services , ensuring compliance with professional, regulatory and Trust standards, effective risk management and continuous improvement.
Working in partnership with the General Manager and Director of Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) and Healthcare Scientists, to support the delivery of Business Unit, Divisional and Trust objectives through effective professional leadership, workforce development and service improvement.
To contribute to the development and implementation of Business Unit and Divisional operational and strategic plans, ensuring professional, quality and workforce considerations are appropriately reflected.
To act as a visible and credible professional leader, promoting evidence-based practice, research, innovation, education and professional development to enhance patient outcomes and staff experience.
To provide expert professional advice to the Business Unit and contribute to Trust-wide professional leadership and service development in collaboration with the Director of AHPs and Healthcare Scientists.
To develop effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to support the delivery of local, regional, and national priorities.

Education, Training and Qualifications. CPD Requirements:
Essential
- Diploma/Degree in an appropriate Allied Health Profession
- Masters level qualification or equivalent
- HCPC Registration
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development in relevant field of practise
Experience & Knowledge
Essential
- Experience of leading professional governance, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives within a healthcare environment
- Demonstrates understanding of Clinical and Corporate Governance and its application to working practice
Desirable: - Experience of workforce planning, capability development and professional leadership across complex services
Skills and Ability
Essential
- An ability to analyse workload demand across services
- Able to make judgements to allocate resources effectively
- Ability to provide professional assurance through the interpretation of workforce, quality, performance and outcome data
Communications and Interpersonal skills
Essential: - Able to convey information clearly through presentations, reports, meetings and briefings to a wide variety of recipients
