Deliver safe, high-quality care efficiently within the theatre complex.
Manage the team as a team leader, participating as an active member of the scrub and circulating team in a designated highly specialist area without supervision as appropriate using all forms of knowledge, skills and experience required in order to be able to undertake the duties competently such as check the instruments and implants for the list and any other equipment that is necessary.
The post holder will take responsibility for the Theatre Scrub Team in the absence of the Band 7 Manager, who has continuing 24-hour responsibility. They will hold responsibility for staff management in theabsence of the Theatre Manager
Ensure patients receive safe, quality care in line with Trust and Unit policies.
Lead the team, actively participating in scrub and circulating duties within a specialist area, independently checking instruments, implants, and required equipment.
Communicate effectively, fostering strong relationships within the Unit and the wider multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications
Essential: - Registered Nurse with NMC or ODP with HCPC Degree/Diploma
Desirable: - Theatre Experience; - Mentorship qualification or experience

- Commitment to maintain and develop new skills within orthopaedic theatres
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge
Essential: - Prepared to update orthopaedic knowledge and undertake further professional development
Desirable: - Further education or specific theatres or orthopaedic training
