Technician (Mechanical) - Scarborough

The successful candidate will be based at Scarborough Hospital, but must be willing to work at any of the Trust's sites. You must be flexible regarding hours of duty and will be expected to undertake appropriate training, including Health and Safety training.

The successful candidate will have a good general knowledge of building services and engineering maintenance, backed up by a BTEC, City and Guilds Craft Certificate or NVQ 3 qualification in an engineering discipline (preferably mechanical engineering).

The successful candidate must be able to work co-operatively as part of a team, comprisingskilled and semi-skilled maintenance colleagues, and have demonstrable experience of working within a maintenance environment. In addition, the successful candidate should be reliable, resilient, enthusiastic, motivated and be able to work under pressure, with minimum supervision.

The successful candidate must have the ability to transport themselves and equipment throughout the community over the course of a normal working day.

Education, Qualifications and Training

Experience and Knowledge Required

Essential: - Experience of Mechanical infrastructure; - Awareness of Health & Safety procedures and use of PPE.

Desirable: - Formal training/experience of NHS Ventilation Systems; - Formal Training/experience of Medical Gas Systems
