Part time 32 hours per week. Permanent post. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Support Secretary in the Medicine Division at Bolton NHS...

The main duties of this post will be supporting the senior secretary in the daily typing of clinical correspondence, logging and chasing of diagnostic requests and general secretarial duties and providing cover for colleagues during periods of annual leave and sickness and ensuring the department continues to meet its targets

Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent including English and Maths
  • RSA 11 Typing or equivalent / ECDL/ICT or equivalent
  • ECDL or equivalent

Desirable

  • Medical Secretary AMSPAR or equivalent experience

Skills

Essential

  • Evidence of Audio Typing Skills

Desirable

  • Ability to use LE2.2
  • Ability to use G2

Experience

Essential

  • Previous experience as a medical, relief or trainee secretary
  • Experience of working in a busy office
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Software packages, Word and Excel

Desirable

  • Familiar with Medical Terminology
