You`ll bring

As a Supervising Practitioner, you'll be part of our Compass Bloom Mental Health Support Team, working alongside schools to deliver evidence based interventions and promote whole school approaches to mental wellbeing, while ensuring practitioners feel supported and safe in their practice.
As part of this role, you`ll undertake a postgraduate Supervising Practitioner qualification. You`ll study alongside your role, developing the knowledge, skills and confidence to provide high quality clinical supervision.
You`ll hold a small caseload and work directly with young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties, while providing clinical supervision, reflective spaces and day to day guidance to colleagues. You`ll play an important role in embedding good practice, supporting professional development and maintaining high standards of care.
Working closely with schools, Team Leaders and the wider Compass team, you`ll help drive quality and consistency across the service, supporting practitioners and contributing to service development.

Qualifications
Essential
- Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) Qualification
- Post Graduate Certificate in Supervision (EMHP supervisor course) or Two years post qualification experience of working therapeutically with children and young people and willingness to undertake a PG Certificate in Supervision.
Desirable
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Management / supervision training
- Therapeutic post graduate qualification or equivalent experience ideally in low intensity CBT.
- Post Graduate qualification in a relevant discipline
- Mentorship qualification
Experience
Essential
- 2 years post qualification experience of working therapeutically as an EMHP
- Experience of line management and/or delivery of clinical supervision
- Experience of delivering CBT informed supervision, ideally of practice related to education settings
- Experience of working in a community and/or educational
- Experience of effective engagement with CYPF
- Risk assessment and management in the delivery of clinical services (including
- safeguarding)
Desirable
- Experience of leadership within Children and Young People clinical service areas
- Experience of providing mentorship
