To support the delivery, supervision, and continuous development of high-quality academic and clinical training for Dental Hygiene and Therapy students, contributing to the strategic goals and educational excellence of the Eastman Dental Hospital Education Centre.
- Deliver education, training and assessment of the undergraduate students within the EDHEC Dental Hygiene and Therapy programme.
- Provide clinical supervision and support for undergraduate students within the EDHEC Dental Hygiene and Therapy.
- Contribute to the design, delivery and quality assurance of the education and training programmes.
- Support the development and implementation of EDHEC strategies in collaboration with the Programme Director / Deputy to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
- Undertake administrative, managerial, and other responsibilities as agreed with Programme Director / Deputy

Knowledge and Qualifications
Essential
- Eligible for full registration with the GDC at time of appointment; and holds a current licence to practise (ORE1 and ORE2 must be completed (or exempt) upon application).
- Compliance with CPD requirements
Desirable: - Qualification appropriate to teaching in the Lifelong learning Sector; - Mentoring qualification
Experience
Essential
- Experience in the management of patients with general dental and restorative treatment needs
- Experience in education of dental care professionals
- Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Desirable: - Involvement in post-qualification programmes/courses; - Experience in delivering online education and training
Skills and Abilities
Essential
- Able to demonstrate a working knowledge of the principals of clinical governance and audit
- IT Skills particularly Excel & PowerPoint
- Able to learn different IT software systems
Desirable: - Knowledge of educational quality assurance frameworks; - Knowledge of educational programme design & management
Communication
Essential: - Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues, and as part of a team
Specific Requirements
Essential: - Experience of mentoring staff/students
Desirable: - Experience of student assessments; - Experience of acting as an examiner for formative and summative assessments
