Provide safe and effective care to pregnant women during the antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum period
Provide proactive and effective Leadership
Work in partnership with women and their families
Work collaboratively as a member of the Multidisciplinary team
Highly developed communication skills in challenging situations in which there may be barriers to communication and changing circumstances
Provides specialist midwifery care for a specific group of women
Advises and provides specialist support to midwives in related clinical areas
Shares specialist knowledge with other professional group and agencies

Education/Qualifications
Essential: - Registered Midwife; - Specialist knowledge or Qualification; - Teaching qualification

- Experience in specialist area of expertise
- Knowledge and experience of leading change
- Knowledge of quality improvement
- Knowledge and experience of leading a team
- Knowledge of safeguarding
