We are seeking an experienced Dietitian to join our diverse dietetic team. The post will also be suitable as a band 5 to 6 progression post as precept...
You will use specialist dietetic knowledge to undertake nutritional assessment and treatment of patients who may have complex and/or chronic presentation, determining clinical diagnosis and the dietetic treatment.
You will work closely with other members of multidisciplinary teams (MDT) including attendance where required at best interest meetings and MDT meetings.
To be actively involved in implementation of specific changes to practice and contribute to service development.
To provide support and supervision to junior dietitians acting as a preceptor as well as providing support to dietetic learners and other non registered department members as required.

Education and Qualifications
Essential: - Degree/ Diploma in Dietetics; - HCPC registration
Desirable: - Post Registration training; - Practice Supervisory Skills Course; - Member of BDA
Knowledge, training and experience
Essential
- Experience of working with patients with diverse healthcare needs
- Evidence of dietetic experience in the community setting including substantial experience with home enteral feeding
- Evidence of contributing to service development
- Anthropometric measurement skills
Desirable: - Experience of supervising/ mentoring junior staff
Communication and interpersonal skills
Essential
- Motivational interviewing/behavioural change skills training
- To be able to plan, assess, evaluate and implement patient care
- Ability to prioritise care associated with changing environment/patient demands
Desirable: - presentation skills
