Band 5 specialist nurses to work within the restorative dentistry service. Will assist restorative consultant in theater and outpatient clinics providing care and rehabilitation of cancer patients post surgery.
Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint two part-time Band 5 Specialist Dental Nurses to join our successful and motivated team within the Restorative Dentistry Department. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced dental nurses to expand their specialist knowledge and gain valuable experience within a challenging yet rewarding role. The successful candidates will provide high-quality chairside support for complex restorative procedures, contribute to the delivery of patient-centred care, and provide leadership, guidance and support to the wider dental nursing team. You will be expected to demonstrate a flexible approach to working across Restorative Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Orthodontics, utilising the appropriate skills and knowledge required within each specialty. The role requires excellent communication, organisational and clinical skills, a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care, infection prevention and control, and the ability to support service development, teaching and the day-to-day running of specialist clinics.

Experience
Essential
- Restorative Dental Experience
- Maxillofacial Surgery Experience.
- Experience of assisting in a theatre environment
- Experience of working in a hospital setting
Skills

Knowledge
Essential
- Understanding of Information Governance and Confidentiality
- Range of Restorative, Dental and Orthodontic Procedures
- Knowledge of Electronic patient booking systems (EPR)
Qualifications
Essential
- The National Certificate for Dental Nurses, NVQ Oral Health Care Dental Nursing Level 3
- Must be Registered with the General Dental Council
- Qualification in Dental Radiography
Desirable: - Certificate in Dental Impression taking; - Qualification in Dental Implant Nursing
