Senior Information Analyst

Communication and Relationship skills

Define, collate, analyse and interpret complex, sensitive and contentious information, often from across a range of organisations, to a high standard, and to actively facilitate the use and understanding of the information provided across a range of partners and stakeholders. This will include negotiating, persuading and training colleagues to ensure accurate and consistent datasets.

Work closely with project leads/managers and clinicians to identify their information needs and to analyse and provide information to support them in the delivery of health and social care planning and decision making.

Attend relevant meetings and communicate and present the analysis of complex, sensitive or contentious information to project leads/managers, clinicians and wider stakeholders.

Knowledge, training and experience

Provide specialist advice on analytics, including modelling and data visualisation, where no precedent exists, which is to be underpinned by theoretical knowledge or relevant practical experience.

Analyse, collect and use data/information from across the range of partners including health, local authority and the third and independent sectors.

Work closely with partners from health, local authority and third parties and independent sectors.

This post is fixed term until 31/03/2028 due to funding.

Planning and organisational skills

Responsible for the creation and production of analytical information reports and data analysis using computer software, programme languages and web technologies and business intelligence software to support reporting requirements as specified by the organisation.

Assist in the management of specific information reporting projects, which provide reporting solutions to enable the organisations needs and strategies to be met.

Support senior information colleagues in the production of routine tactical and strategic data requirements.

Participate in the development and use of new and innovative methods of using data/information flows across the organisation.

In conjunction with senior information colleagues, undertake work with clinicians/senior managers and partners in assessing their information needs and developing systems to meet their information requirements.

Assist in the ongoing review of information services, systems and resources across the organisation with the objective of ensuring a timely and accurate response to the full range of information requirements.

Responsible for ensuring information reporting requirements are met within agreed timescales.
