Join a newly
restructured procurement service at an exciting stage of development as we
implement our Procurement Strategy and strengthen the role of clinical
leadership within procurement. You will be part of a forward-thinking team
committed to delivering safe, effective and sustainable procurement solutions
that support patient care and organisational objectives.
We are seeking
an experienced Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional with substantial
post-registration experience and a track record of influencing clinical
practice, product selection, service improvement or change programmes.
Experience of working across complex stakeholder groups and balancing clinical,
operational and financial priorities is essential.
You will be a credible and confident leader with strong communication,
negotiation and relationship-building skills. You will be comfortable applying
clinical expertise in a commercial environment, using evidence, professional
judgement and patient safety principles to support decision-making.

Qualifications
Essential
- Registered Nurse (NMC) or Allied Health Professional (HCPC) with substantial post-registration experience.
- CIPS Level 4 or willingness to work towards.
- Evidence of substantial continuing professional development.
Desirable
- Project Management Qualification (such as PRINCE2) or equivalent experience.
- Higher level Management / Leadership Qualifications (such as Honours Degree, Post Grad or Masters) or equivalent experience and academic ability for the demands of the Post.
Experience
Essential
- Significant experience in a senior clinical role.
- Experience influencing clinical practice, pathways or product use.
- Experience of working with procurement, product selection or service change.
- Experience of delivering change with maintained of improved patient outcomes.
- Experience of working across multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
Desirable
- Evidence of on-going professional development on specialist Courses.
Physical Skills
Essential
- Advanced keyboard and IT skills, with physical / handeye coordination required to accurately and proficiently use computer systems when manipulating procurement data, drafting complex documentation, and preparing reports.
- Regular use of multiple digital systems, including eprocurement, contract management and financial reporting platforms.
- Ability to travel independently between sites and external meetings as required to support procurement activity and stakeholder engagement.
Skills and Knowledge
Essential
- Awareness of Public Procurement Regulations and NHS procurement frameworks.
- Understanding of clinical environments and application of products within patient care.
- Knowledge of governance, finance and risk in an NHS setting.
- Awareness of clinical product regulatory standards (MHRA/UKCA/CE marking).
- Knowledge of infection prevention considerations aligned to clinical products and equipment.
- Knowledge of risk and patient safety principles aligned to clinical products and equipment.
- Advanced commercial and contractual negotiation skills.
- Ability to operate with significant autonomy and professional judgement.
- Ability to apply clinical knowledge to decision making in a non-clinical (procurement) environment.
- Ability to operate with significant autonomy and professional judgement.

- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage risk and make balanced, evidence-based decisions.
