The NWLP induction will run on the first Monday of each month (provided it does not fall on a bank holiday) and includes laboratory training (for relevant laboratory roles). All new staff must attend the NWLP induction during their first week with NWLP.

Education / Qualifications
Essential
- HCPC Registration
- MSc, or IBMS Higher Specialist Diploma, or any of the IBMS higher qualifications
- 2 years practical experience at band 6 or equivalent, post specialist HCPC registration in relevant discipline
Desirable: - Management qualification or relevant experience
Skills/knowledge/ abilities
Essential: - Practical analytical skills associated with diagnostic laboratory work; - Demonstrate a commitment to service improvement and innovative practice
Experience
Essential
- Ability to develop and write policies and procedures (e.g. Standard Operating Procedures), relating to specialty section
- Evidence of experience of quality management systems, audits and document control
- Previous experience in a large busy pathology laboratory
- Able to supervise more junior staff in a professional and competent manner
Desirable: - Experience of Audit assessment
