Salaried GP

• Deliver safe, evidence based clinical care including acute, chronic, and preventative consultations.
• Work efficiently with the multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate patient allocation and reduce unnecessary GP workload.
• Provide continuity of care and support complex cases, with particular benefit from mental health colleagues.
• Contribute to improved workflow by minimising unnecessary admin through effective delegation and process optimisation.
• Participate in clinical meetings, MDT discussions, and monthly protected learning time.
• Engage in personal development and appraisal processes, with opportunities for progression into leadership roles.
• Uphold the organisations values, fostering a supportive, collaborative, and inclusive culture.

• Independently assess, diagnose and manage complex and routine presentations
• Manage acute illness and deterioration safely and decisively
• Provide ongoing care for patients with long-term conditions
• Deliver face to face, telephone and online consultations as required
• Prescribe safely and appropriately in line with local and national guidance
• Refer patients to other services using agreed pathways
• Review, interpret and act on investigation results
• Complete clinical administration accurately and in a timely way
• Maintain clear, accurate and contemporaneous clinical records

• Work autonomously while being part of a collaborative and supportive GP team
• Share responsibility for workload fairly and safely
• Support continuity of care where possible
• Contribute to practice decision-making and service development
• Attend and contribute to practice meetings
• Support, mentor or supervise other clinicians where appropriate

• Take an active role in clinical governance, audit and quality improvement

Essential

• You must have: A minimum of 12 months experience working as a General Practitioner in a United Kingdom general practice.
• Experience of managing a full range of routine and complex presentations independently
• Experience of assessing and managing acute illness and clinical deterioration Experience of providing ongoing care for patients with long-term conditions
• Experience of safe prescribing and medicines management Experience of completing clinical administration accurately and promptly, including referrals and results management
• Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team Experience of contributing to clinical governance activity, including audit or quality improvement
• Experience of providing day-to-day clinical leadership, leading by example and supporting colleagues where appropriate
