An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 6 to join a team of Resuscitation Officers within the Corporate Division. The post is to cover maternity...
- To act as an informed resource in resuscitation issues for all staff within the Trust
- To contribute to the planning, organisation and implementation of an effective resuscitation service
- To teach resuscitation skills in line with Trust protocols and Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines
- To take part in clinical research and audit
- To ensure a standardised approach to resuscitation and resuscitation training throughout the Trust, recognising the differing needs of Trust staff

Qualifications
Essential
- Registered General Nurse, ODP or Paramedic
- Resuscitation Council (UK) ILS Instructor or Instructor Potential
Desirable
- ALS instructor/provider
- EPLS/APLS provider
Experience
Essential
- Post registration experience in an acute or critical care environment with exposure to cardiac arrests
- Previous teaching experience
Desirable
- Exposure to adult and paediatric emergencies
Skills and knowledge
Essential
- Knowledge of current Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Debriefing and bereavement skills
- Able to prioritise and adapt to workload
Desirable
- Participation in clinical audit
- Ability to manage and lead a team
- Evidence of project management
