Research Nurse

The post holder under the supervision of the clinical delivery unit co-ordinator will support the delivery of commercial and non-commercial cancer clinical trials. The role will include; collecting data, supporting, treating and monitoring patients in accordance to ethically approved protocols.

The R & I directorate is a busy environment and working to deadlines with frequent interruption is the norm. As we deliver treatments in sector hubs and clinicsacross the Wirral and Liverpool, there will an element of cross cover required during training and once training has been completed. This will include travelling to all of our peripheral sites:

Qualifications

Essential: - Current level registration with the UK Nursing and Midwifery Council; - N59 or equivalent

Desirable: - Degree or working towards; - ENB 237 or equivalent

Experience

Essential: - Experience working within an NHS health care environment

Desirable: - Previous oncology experience

Knowledge and Expertise

Essential: - General Nursing experience
