  • Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate nursing care for a group of patients
  • Provide safe, compassionate care and respond to changing patient needs
  • Support and guide junior staff, learners and students in daily practice
  • Maintain accurate patient records and follow clinical governance processes
  • Help coordinate shifts and contribute to the smooth running of the service when senior staff are unavailable

What we're looking for: - Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Nurse qualification

  • Recent experience working in a nursing role
  • Good communication and leadership skills
  • An understanding of multidisciplinary team working and evidence-based practice
  • A flexible approach and willingness to continue learning and developing your skills

Qualifications

Essential: - RGN/RN/Diploma Studies; - Be willing to undertake further training and development

Desirable: - Completion of post qualification preceptorship

Knowledge

Essential: - To have recently worked within a nursing capacity; - Demonstrate an understanding of the MDT

Desirable

  • Community Hospital experience
  • Demonstrate an interest in palliative care
  • Demonstrate an understanding of evidence based practice
  • Have an interest in audit and maintaining standards

Experience

Essential

  • Good communication and leadership skills
  • Be able to provide education to members of the ward team
  • Demonstrates an awareness of own and others competencies
