The post holder will work within the Bristol NHS Foundation Trust and be responsible for providing a welcoming and efficient service as the patient fi...

  • To register patients on the Careflow EPR clinical system
  • Updating patients demographic details when required.
  • Issue Cas Cards for the Clinical staff for triaging patients
  • Answer reception telephone and deal with any queries
  • With discharged paperwork send out discharge letters to GP and Health Visitors.
  • Prep notes for scanning
  • Scan notes, upload to clinical system and quality check
  • Book appointments for plastics clinic and Consultant review clinics.

The post holder will be required to work 12 hour shifts including evenings, nights, weekends and Bank Holidays and to participate in a 24/7 roster.

Education and Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths
  • ICT Qualification (e.g. EDCL) including Microsoft Packages

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Essential

  • Understanding of administrative and reception duties including filing

Experience

Essential

  • Previous receptionist experience in a healthcare setting

Desirable

  • Previous NHS experience

Personal Qualities

  • Excellent/Professional telephone/reception manner
  • Flexible Approach to duties
  • Able to work under pressure and to meet deadlines whilst maintaining a high stand of customer service and accuracy
  • Proven Organisational Skills
  • Confidence to manage difficult conversations with patients, relatives and carers
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy team, adjust to change and motivate others
  • Ability to work independently and part of a team
