Radiology Support Worker

Support Worker, you will support the Radiology department in all areas: - Plain Film X-ray, CT scan, MRI, and Ultrasound and Interventional Radiography (site

dependent). Supporting the Team in the provision of a 24 / 7 service.

Your role will

include preparing patients for various investigations, acting as chaperone,

moving and handling, patient care and use of computers.

It is essential

that you have good communication and IT skills. You must be able to demonstrate

a caring and compassionate attitude in all aspects of care delivery.

You should be

able to demonstrate excellent patient care, maintain confidentiality, work on

your own initiative and as part of a team, and understand the importance of

following Standard Operating Policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Desirable: - Healthcare Certificate.

Experience

Essential: - Demonstrable experience working in a healthcare environment.; - Demonstrable experience working with IT.

Desirable: - Previous work within a Radiology setting.

Skills

Desirable: - Experience of Radiology Information Systems.
