Radiographer- St Helier Hospital

We are recognised in SWL as being a capable and fast expanding service, St Helier now have 3 CT scanners and 2 MRI scanners and Epsom have 2 CT scanners and 2 MRI scanners. We have US and DEXA equipment for all age groups, and a fantastic Paediatric service at St Helier for x-ray and dental x-ray. We also have very successful Nuclear Medicine, Fluoroscopy and Interventional Radiology services.

As a department we provide excellent opportunities for our staff to develop their career.Our department supports advanced practice where we have an established ultrasound training programme alongside radiographers trained in reporting CT, MRI, plain film and undertaking PICC line insertions. We are a teaching hospital and clinical placement centre for undergraduate students from Kingston University and all Radiographers are expected to contribute to the training of students.

There is a 24-hour Accident & Emergency (A&E) department at both St Helier and Epsom sites. You will be required to take part in the out of hours on-call service and extended days evenings and weekends to ensure we provide consistent care to our patients through 7 day working.

Qualification and Training

Essential: - HPC registration; - DCR or BSc (Hons) in Radiography

Experience

Essential: - Wide experience of all radiographic procedures and equipment; - Knowledge of current legislation (IRMER/ Health and Safety)

Desirable: - Some post qualification experience

Knowledge and Skills

Desirable: - Attendance at Relevant Courses and teaching sessions
