We are recruiting to expand our dynamic and highly motivated team of Practice Managers. You will benefit from being part of a wider team with support available from existing PMs across our sites together with an Area Manager.
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills together with proven experience in managing people and monitoring performance targets in primary care. You must be highly self-motivated, organised and able to motivate your team.
The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, be confident with IT and enjoy working flexibly in a rapidly changing environment.
You will have the aptitude to support practice engagement with the wider health economy as required, such as local Primary Care Networks, local practice manager networks and community care providers, to ensure that we are consistently kept aware of best practice and new developments.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a General Practice Management setting together with an understanding of the rapidly changing healthcare environment.
Personnel and training
Managing
the administrative staff and non-clinical management of nursing staff, including
taking lead responsibility for co-ordinating/undertaking staff appraisals &
co-ordination of recruitment selection and training.
Ensuring
contracts of employment are provided to all staff and that all relevant
employment legislation is followed. Ensuring implementation of the practices
employment policies and procedures.
Information technology
Responsibility
for the computer system, including organising any maintenance and developments
to the system. Ensure compliance with Data Protection legislation.
Premises and equipment
Responsibility
for monitoring of security or premises, arranging repairs and maintenance of
premises, services and equipment.
Ensuring
that the practice complies with aspects of Health & Safety at Work (HASAW)
legislation.
Patient services
Implementing
and maintaining systems to receive patient enquiries and suggestions, including
oversight of the practice-based complaints procedure.
Reviewing
and updating the practices information leaflet/website, practice publicity and
health education material.
Future planning
Keeping
abreast of developments within the NHS that might impinge on the practice or
individual partners and offering options for consideration by the partners.
External relationships
Ensuring
efficient internal and external communication, including being the focal point
for contact with the primary care organisation, solicitor, accountant and other
bodies

monitoring and maintenance of the register
Training & Appraisals
Oversee
Appraisals / Performance reviews
Monitoring
of training for all (clinical and Admin) staff
Responsible
for proposals of training requirements for staff.

on IG Compliance, Governance & Quality
ICB attendance and
