Plumber / Heating Engineer (Mechanical Craftsperson) - Suffolk Based at Ipswich. Norfolk & Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT) are looking for a skill...

Duties & Responsibilities Associated with this role include but are not limited to:

  • Providing a comprehensive service to include all aspects of planned, routine and reactive maintenance
  • The repair and maintenance of a wide rangeof mechanical services and equipment on site
  • Fault finding and diagnosis
  • Routine inspections to ensure our estate is safe and fullycompliant
  • Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with the requirements of Health & Safety and other relevant legislation
  • You will be required to participate as a member of the On-Call Team providing an emergency out of hours service on a rotational basis

Experience

Essential

  • Two years experience having demonstrated high technical verstility and flexability

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a mental health or secure services hospital environment

Qualifications

Essential

  • Recognised and registered CITB or EITB minimum three year apprenticeship in plumbing/mechanical engineering AND/OR City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering Parts 1, 2 & 3 or Plumbing NVQ 1, 2 & 3 OR BTEC, ONC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Accredited Certificate Scheme (ACS) Gas Training:- CCN1 - Core Domestic Natural Gas Safety COCN1 - Core Commercial Natural Gas Safety
  • Full UK driving licence for ability to drive Trust vehicles

Desirable

  • BTEC, ONC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
