We are seeking a self-motivated, patient/service focused individual to join our existing team of Pharmacy Assistants working within the dispensary. Fa...

Duties include reception work, ensuring the dispensary is adequately stocked with supplies and some housekeeping duties.

They ensure the timely collection of pharmacy orders and delivery of pharmaceuticals to all wards and departments.

The post holder undertakes general courier duties to ensure the smooth running of the pharmacy and moving of bulk products and equipment as required.

Qualifications and/or Knowledge

Essential

  • GCSE pass or equivalent in Maths and English Language
  • NVQ Level 2 in pharmacy services or willingness to undertake and achieve NVQ Level 2 within 12 months of appointment

Experience

Essential

  • Working as part of a team

Desirable

  • Pharmacy experience in hospital, community or other
  • Customer service experience

Aptitude and Abilities

Essential

  • Accuracy
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems

Desirable

  • Knowledge of pharmacy computer systems
  • Knowledge of handling hazardous substances safely
  • Dispensing
