  • Support the coordination and development of My Follow Up Plan across tumour groups.
  • Work alongside Cancer Support Workers to ensure they are able to focus on patient-facing coordination, self-management support, proactive monitoring and escalation.
  • Help establish consistent processes that clearly separate administrative pathway functions from Cancer Support Worker responsibilities.
  • Support the effective use of pathway resources as the service grows and develops.
  • Contribute to improved pathway oversight, reduced duplication and a more consistent experience for patients and teams.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Good standard of education including GCSE English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
  • equivalent). NVQ Level 4 in Business Administration, Management, Healthcare Administration or equivalent experience.
  • ECDL or equivalent IT qualification/experience.

Desirable

  • Training in process mapping, quality improvement or pathway management.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.

Knowledge and Expertise

Essential

  • Knowledge of NHS administrative processes and systems.
  • Understanding of patient pathways and appointment management.
  • Knowledge of Information Governance and Data Protection requirements
  • Experience using Meditech, EPR or equivalent patient administration systems
  • Understanding of data quality and accurate record management.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of cancer pathways and oncology terminology.
  • Knowledge of clinic template management and associated administrative processes.

Experience

Essential

  • Experience working within an NHS or healthcare environment.
  • Experience coordinating administrative processes across multiple teams
  • Experience maintaining action logs, trackers and reports.
  • Experience working with electronic patient record systems.
  • Experience managing competing priorities in a busy environment.

Desirable

  • Experience of clinic management and/or clinic template administration.
  • Experience developing SOPs, guidance documents or process maps.
  • Experience undertaking audits or data analysis.
