The post holder will coordinate all aspects of orthopaedic loan kit management, including planning equipment requirements for surgical procedures, liaising with consultants, theatre teams, suppliers and sterile services, and ensuring kits are available when required. Responsibilities will include raising requisitions and purchase orders, maintaining accurate records, resolving queries, monitoring expenditure and ensuring compliance with agreed processes, financial procedures and traceability requirements.

Qualifications

Essential

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent knowledge
  • Understanding of basic professional purchasing principles and procurement technology.

Desirable

  • NVQ Level 2 Customer Care
  • European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) Level 1, 2

Experience

Essential

  • Experience with the Oracle Purchasing System
  • Experience of NHS procurement principles
  • Experience of receipting process
  • Methodical, reliable and well organised
  • Computer literate with advanced spreadsheet skills
  • Experience of working in NHS

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Orthopaedic surgical procedures, acquired through training
