The post holder will support the Imaging Department in delivering high-quality, individualised care to service users, their relatives and carers. They...

To work alongside all staff in all areas of the patient pathway- ophthalmic outpatient clinics, procedure rooms, theatre, day care including admissions and discharge areas.

To undertake clinical work and related tasks as delegated by qualified nursing staff, following appropriate training and assessment of competency.

To communicate respectfully and effectively: verbally and written in a timely manner.

Understand the principle of confidentiality and communicate in a way that maintains patient privacy and dignity.

Maintain clear and legible patient records in accordance with both Trust and professional standards for record keeping.

In conjunction with the nurse in charge and other senior members of the multi-disciplinary team support a positive culture, patient experience and environment for both staff and patients.

Identify own training and development needs and undertake appropriate training/education as required.

Participate in an annual individual performance review process where objectives will be agreed, performance monitored and personal development needs discussed.
