Managing resource in a matrix fashion

Delivering continuous improvement by reviewing, refining and implementing processes

Ensuring the company's quality management system and the operation are aligned

Support integration of contracts, operations, people and processes to drive efficiency

An advocate for Logistics within the business and the group - supporting policy decisions and acting as a subject matter

expert.

Lead on health & safety matters

Support the Deputy Head of Logistics with integrating customers BAU processes to create a holistic service offering with

multiple users, capable of growth and managing varying demand with fixed resource.

Deliver service improvement and financial growth through a process of continuous improvement - identifying and exploiting

opportunities to remove waste whilst maintaining focus on delivering quality.

Manage a growing pharmacy delivery to home service with 9 operatives distributing medications via QE Facilities own fleet

and a third-party courier service.

Develop KPI reporting to ensure SLAs are met, and exceeded.

Work with staff and customers at all levels to ensure proper management of change

Have input into relevant policy and developing new training programmes in response to changes in policy.

QE Facilities (QEF) is a wholly owned subsidiary company of Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust (GHNT), based in the North East of England.

We provide a range of non- clinical services to GHNT and other NHS organisations. Our services include: estates, facilities services, procurement, medical engineering and devices, endoscopy decontamination and sterile services, transport, out-patient pharmacy, and prevention & management of violence & aggression training (PMVA).

In addition we provide consultancy services, advising clients on all aspects of establishing a subsidiary company within an NHS body to the provision of VAT compliance advice.

QE Facilities work to their own Terms and Conditions and these are not the same as Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust Terms and Conditions. This is not an Agenda for Change Pay Rate.

Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience in delivering operational improvements
  • Demonstrable team management skills, including staff development, scheduling and deployment

Qualifications

Essential

  • Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable

  • CPC Qualification
  • Emergency First Aid
  • Professional qualification in logistics management

Knowledge and Skills

Essential

  • Excellent leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • IT literate with proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook

Desirable

  • Thorough understanding of RHA guidance and driving at work regulations
