We are seeking applications from individuals with a passion for providing rehabilitation for people with neurological conditions. You will need to demonstrate time management skills and the ability to be flexible, to be able to manage a mixed acute and rehab caseload in a busy setting. Excellent communication skills will be key, as you will be working with patients and their families in stressful and complex situations. The successful candidate will also demonstrate good interpersonal skills and be committed to team working both within OT and the wider MDT.
Applicants will be supported to develop problem solving and specialist clinical skills essential for meeting the demands of this setting. Regular supervision will be provided and a staff appraisal system is in operation. department.
Please note, Stroke services across Derbyshire are undergoing a review and there will be some changes in service delivery in the future.

Qualifications and Training
Essential: - oDiploma or degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent); - oH.C.P.C. registered (or pending qualification results).
Experience
Essential
- Broad understanding of OT process and frameworks.
- Broad understanding of OT role in acute physical setting.
- Experience of working in a neurological speciality (placement experience will be accepted)
Desirable: - oExperience in acute physical setting; - oExperience of rehabilitation practice and ethos
Skills and Knowledge
Essential: - oAbility to prioritise workload and work to tight deadlines.
Desirable: - oExperience of supervising other staff/students
