Neonatal Unit Safeguarding Specialist Liaison Nurse / Midwife

To work closely with the neonatal discharge nurse as well as the safeguarding team.

To contribute to multi agency meetings. MARAC, Discharge Planning, Maternity Care Planning etc

Work closely with social care, health visitors and midwives to embed the practical implementation of the maternity safeguarding agenda.

Our Service will relocate to The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital in 2028 as part of HTP. This move will bring specialist services together in a modern, purpose-built facility to improve patient care and team experience.

We are actively recruiting, and successful candidates will be expected to move with the Service in early 2028. The relocation will follow a formal management of change process, including full consultation and support for staff.

Quals

Essential: - Degree; - NMC

Desirable: - Specialist Community Public Health Degree

Experience and knowledge

Essential: - Working knowledge of NHS policies and national agendas relating to newborns and Children Safeguarding Practice.

Desirable: - Acute/Community experience; - Manage patient care/caseloads which requires multi-disciplinary input
