We require a registered pharmacy technician to join our enthusiastic and motivated medicines management team. The post holder should be ready for a new challenge, show initiative in supporting service improvements, be a team player and have good problem solving skills.You will provide Medicines Management at ward level, be involved with medicines reconciliation, checking patients own medicines, initiating medicine supplies, providing information and advice to patients about their medicines and assisting with discharges. You will also work in the dispensary to maintain your ACPT accreditation.This post is open to applications from registered pharmacy technicians. An accredited checking qualification is essential and previous ward-based hospital experience is desirable.

Experience

- Previous experience of working in a pharmacy

- Previous hospital pharmacy experience
- Previous experience with JAC/CMM pharmacy computer system

- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Gives attention to detail and is accurate
- Able to work accurately even when under pressure
- Maintains a portfolio of practice to fulfil mandatory continuing professional development
Desirable
- Counter services training
- Customer services training
