The post holder will be involved in the running of reception duties, registering and documentation of new patients, booking appointments, requesting case notes from the health records library, prepping clinics. Engaging with all members of staff and dealing with enquiries from patients, dental and medical practitioners and members of the public by telephone and in person.

- Registration and documentation of new patients.- Reception duties.- Requesting/locating case notes from the filing system as required.- Maintenance of appointment system.- Maintenance of daily clinical work sheets.- Maintenance of waiting lists.- Provision of statistical information for Managers as required.- Care and repair of case note folders.- Maintenance of accurate tracker system of case histories.

- 5 GCSE's A*-C /NVQ 2 or equivalent

- Experience in a clerical post

- Good communication skills Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels and with patients
- IT skills / relevant keyboard experience
- Ability to organise and prioritise own workload
- Ability to work as part of a team and liaise with colleagues to ensure effective working.
