- Typing referral letters
- Scanning
- Coding hospital letters
- Communicating with patients, hospitals, clinicians
- Booking appointments/following surgery protocols
- Chronic disease recalls and other admin/reception/clerical jobs as needed to support team
Working on Reception to book appointments and answer
patient queries.
Answering telephone calls, message taking and recording of
all patient contacts.
Some filing of documents.
Photocopying of patient records.
Scanning documents.
Coding medical records after suitable training.
Various admin duties when suitably trained.
To adhere to protocols agreed by the practice, including
infection control and health & safety standards.
Searches of the Emis clinical computer system, for which
training will be provided.
Mexborough Health Centre is 2 GP Partner Surgery with a list
size of 4800 patients.
Successful candidate will be working along side a team of 2
GP Partners, ANP, Practise Nurses, HCA, Receptionists, Secretaries and PCN staff.
Qualifications
Essential
- Minimum GCSE C (Grade 4) in English and Maths
Experience
Essential
- Good customer service skills. A polite & courteous manner. The ability to undertake different tasks and varied duties. The ability to work alongside other people as part of our practice team. To be able to work in a confidential manner. IT skills including, as a minimum, a basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Good keyboard skills.
