Provide an efficient, professional reception service that instils confidence in patients and relatives.
Act as a point of contact for staff and patients, offering a courteous telephone and face-to-face service.
Communication and Patient Support
Provide clear, relevant information to women and their relatives
Telephone and Messaging Answer telephone enquiries
Liaison and Coordination Communicate effectively with Midwifery teams
Administrative Tasks and Workload Management
o Photocopying and ordering supplies
o Making patient appointments

Qualifications
Essential: - GCSE English and Maths ( or equivalent); - Computer experience
Desirable: - NVQ
Experience and specific skills
Essential
- working face to face with the public in a busy environment- good customer care skills
- previous reception experience
- working in an administrative post
- Ability to basic functions of Microsoft Office effectively - Word, Outlook etc.
- The ability to work efficiently as part of a team
Desirable
- knowledge of medical terminology
- Previous experience of working in the NHS or similar health care setting (patient /customer focused environment).
- Experience of dealing with difficult and sensitive situations
