- As a Junior Information Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting data-driven decision-making across the Trust by delivering high-quality analysis and reporting. Your responsibilities will include:o Providing a professional information and analytics service to clinical and corporate teams, helping stakeholders understand and use data effectively.
- Delivering timely ad hoc and routine analysis, transforming complex datasets into clear, meaningful insights and user friendly reports.
- Working collaboratively with clinicians, managers and BI teams to identify information needs and improve reporting solutions.
- Supporting the development of automated and self-service BI tools, reducing manual work and improving access to information.
- Providing support and guidance to colleagues to promote the effective use of data and information in decision-making.
- Continuously developing your skills and knowledge, maintaining a commitment to professional development and best practice in analytics.
- Monitoring and improving data quality, identifying discrepancies and contributing to resolutions.

Qualifications
Essential: - A level or equivalent in a numerate discipline
Desirable: - Degree level or equivalent experience in Informatics
Experience
Essential
- Used to producing analysis in numerical or graphical formats to a high standard
- Experience of MS SQL Server, , Visual Basic, HTML, BI tools such as Qlikview/Qliksense, Power BI, Tableau
Desirable
- Experience of acute Hospital Information System or Patient Administration Systems
- Some experience of working at a conceptual as well as at a detailed level
Knowledge
Essential
- Understanding of NHS standard definitions and coding schemes
- Knowledge of standard NHS reporting requirements
- Knowledge and awareness of issues affecting NHS acute hospitals
Skills
Essential
- Analysis of complex data to produce succinct information appropriate for its audience, using relational databases.
- Good communication skills - written and verbal
- Ability to process, understand and analyse complex information and produce high quality outputs
- An effective completer / finisher
Desirable
- Advanced Excel Spreadsheet skills
- Good ability to develop new ways of working
- Operational Research / Modelling skills
- Automation tools like Python, R or VBA
