To support the promotion of information governance awareness throughout the Trust by providing training and written procedures that are widely disseminated and made available to all staff. This will include face to face delivery of information governance training at staff induction and mandatory training sessions for all levels of staff.
The postholder is responsible for the project management and the accurate and timely submission of the Information Governance toolkit, including advising requirement leads on the information required. In addition, promoting information governance awareness throughout the Trust and ensuring compliance with relevant statutory and NHS requirements. The postholder will also act as the first point of contact for all matters relating to information governance.

- Experience of working and engaging with public and patients and staff at all levels
Education/Qualifications
Essential
- Degree or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through any combination of alternative study, employment or voluntary work
- A minimum of GCSE English
- A minimum of 1 years' experience across one or more of the following areas: Law, Freedom of Information Act, Information Governance administration (including delivery of the IG Toolkit)
- An understanding of Subject Access Requests, Individual rights requests and Data protection Complaints
Desirable
- Previous NHS experience
- Previous Freedom of Information experience
