- The Hospital Director and Director of System Partnerships provides managerial leadership to the hospital sites, motivating and supporting staff to deliver the objectives of the Trust and hospital site to ensure the best possible patient experience and care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year.
- The Hospital Director and Director of System Partnerships will act as the Trust's senior representative within the local health and care system for the communities served by the hospital. The postholder will build trusted relationships across organisational boundaries to improve the health and wellbeing of the local population, strengthen integration between services and ensure that the hospital plays a leading role as an anchor institution within its local community.
- The role requires significant influence without direct authority, bringing together leaders from across organisations to develop shared solutions to complex operational and strategic challenges.
- The Hospital Director and Director of System Partnerships works with the Divisional and Directorate management teams, and the Executive Team, to support the day to day empowerment local teams to resolve issues at site level by cross divisional working and pulling together all site based support services. This includes site based bed management and admissions.

Education/ Qualifications
Essential
- Significant experience of managing services in a complex healthcare setting, including substantial experience at senior management level. Successful track record of staff management, financial management, performance and change management
Experience
Essential
- Demonstrable success in delivering change and performance with and through your management and clinical teams by engaging them in the strategic direction and delivery plans, establishing clear work priorities with them, delegating effectively, ensuring a capability to deliver, monitoring performance and giving feedback
Desirable
- Demonstrable success of managing major incidents using detailed knowledge and experience of the concepts of emergency planning within a very complex multi-site organisation
Skills/Knowledge/ Abilities
Essential
- Highly developed leadership and influencing skills with the ability to enthuse, motivate and involve individuals and teams, and have them understand the Trust's and your performance expectations
- A commitment to improving patient services through an ability to sustain a clear performance focus on achieving demanding goals
