As a healthcare support worker within the Respite Team the post holder will be working alongside the Community Childrens Nurses who will assess children and plan their care prior to the Support worker offering sessions, the role requires you work alongside children with varying conditions and health needs, to support families in caring for their child and supporting the wellbeing of the child and extended family.
You will be delivering play support and personal care including Nasogastric Feeding, Gastrostomy feeding and Oxygen therapy. Full training will be given.

Knowledge and Experience
Essential
- Experience and knowledge of working with children with additional health needs and complex health needs.
- Experience of working within a community setting
- Recognized Qualification in Child Care
- Demonstrable excellent customer service
- Experience of engaging and communicating effectively with people at all levels
- Understanding of safeguarding procedures in accordance with local procedures
- Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work use
Desirable
- Experience within NHS service
- Knowledge of System One
