You'll support patients and visitors through front of house reception services, helping them access care smoothly and feel welcomed. You'll be part of...
- Welcome patients and visitors in a friendly, professional way
- Manage a busy reception, including answering calls and booking enquiries
- Direct patients to appointments and support clinical teams
- Keep records accurate and up to date using digital systems
- Provide flexible cover across reception sites when needed
What we're looking for
- Strong organisation skills with good attention to detail
- Clear communication and a calm, approachable manner
- Flexibility to work across different sites and shift needs
- Level 3 qualification in Business Administration or Customer Service, or equivalent experience
- Word processing skills to OCR Level 2 or ICDL standard
- Experience in an NHS setting is helpful but not essential

Qualifications
Essential
- Level 3 in Business Administration/Customer Service or equivalent level of knowledge and experience
Desirable
- Word processing to OCR level 2 standard or ICDL
Knowledge
Essential
- Comprehensive knowledge of a range of administration procedures and practices.
- Knowledge of a range of software programmes including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
Desirable
- Knowledge of SystmOne functions and other clinical reporting systems
- Knowledge of clinic/appointment programmes
- Knowledge of making every contact count (MECC)
Experience
Essential
- Previous experience of working in an office environment and carrying out general office/administration procedures
Desirable
- Previous experience of patient appointment booking systems e.g sytstmOne
- Previous NHS experience or working with the public
