As a Junior Occupational Therapist, you will provide comprehensive OT assessments, plan and review OT treatment programmes under supervision, identify and action referrals both in-house and to external agencies, and support the planning, evaluation, and audit of practices, clinical pathways and protocols at St Mary's Hospital. Working alongside a dedicated team you will be working at a service that provides a specialist inpatient neurological rehabilitation and complex care service for people with neurological illnesses, acquired brain and spinal cord injuries.

Under supervision, you will be responsible for planning and facilitating evidence-based group and individual programmes. You will create individual rapports with service users to empower recovery.

As a Junior Occupational Therapist you will be:

  • Providing comprehensive OT assessments.
  • Under supervision, planning and reviewing OT treatment programmes.
  • Under supervision, identifying and actioning referrals both in-house, including support staff, and to external agencies
  • Supporting the planning, evaluation, and audit of practices, clinical pathways and protocols at St Mary's Hospital.
  • Ensuring that contemporaneous, written and electronic records and activity data are maintained following professional and services standards.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • A UK HCPC registration or applied for
  • Evidence of ability to research, plan, implement and evaluate a project for specific groups
  • Effective written/verbal communication skills

Where you will be working

Location: Badby Road West, Daventry, Northamptonshire, NN11 4NH

You will be working at Badby Park, a specialist inpatient neurological rehabilitation and complex care service for people with neurological illnesses, acquired brain and spinal cord injuries.

You will work alongside side the multidisciplinary and clinical teams to deliver truly person-centred services where each individual is at the heart of everything. The service has extensive facilities to cater for specific needs for people over 18 years old, who have complex neurological care and rehabilitation requirements
