What You'll Be Doing

As ECT Clinic Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing day-to-day leadership to the clinic team
  • Managing staffing levels, recruitment, induction and training
  • Coordinating appraisals, supervision and performance management
  • Supporting the team through internal Quality Standards Reviews and external ECTAS accreditation

  • Ensuring safe, effective and person-centred clinical processes
  • Maintaining robust safeguarding, information governance and health & safety standards
  • Contributing to Trust-wide policies, procedures and quality initiatives

Service & Budget Management

  • Assisting with the development and monitoring of the clinic budget
  • Ensuring appropriate procurement and invoice coding
  • Identifying service needs and supporting improvement initiatives

  • Working closely with the ECT Matron, Medical Clinic Lead and Senior Clinic Nurse
  • Liaising with inpatient wards, referring teams, carers and external partners
  • Ensuring timely and effective communication across all stakeholders

Qualifications

Essential: - A mental health / general nurse qualification to degree level or equivalent i.e. RMN/RGN Membership of The Nursing & Midwifery professional body

Desirable: - ECTAS Training

Experience

Essential

  • Significant post qualification experience, including demonstrable experience working with mental health service users
  • Relevant professional experience working within an ECT service
