Comfortable using cleaning equipment, methods and products safely and effectively, with previous experience, or the ability to learn, how to use industrial cleaning tools and equipment. A good understanding of health, safety and hygiene standards, including the importance of following procedures and COSHH regulations, is essential. A positive and patient approach is essential, together with strong communication and customer service skills. Able to build positive relationships with residents, their families, visitors and colleagues, always treating others with empathy, kindness, dignity and respect. An awareness of equality, diversity and the varying needs of the people who access our services is important. Most importantly, you'll understand the difference that a clean, safe and welcoming environment can make to the people who call our care home their home, and take pride in helping them feel comfortable, respected and well supported every day.Unfortunately, this role does not meet the legal requirements for visa sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route. We cannot accept individuals on full-time sponsorship who are seeking this as a second job or as their main job, as care is no longer classified as a Skilled Worker occupation.This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore subject to an enhanced DBS certificate. It is also a regulated activity and will be subject to a Children and Adults Barred List check.
