We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Specialist to join our Digital Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with t...

The successful candidate will provide 3rd line

technical support across our server and infrastructure environment, taking

ownership of complex incidents and proactively monitoring services to maintain

availability, performance and resilience.

Day to day, you will investigate and resolve

complex technical issues, manage infrastructure patching and vulnerability

remediation, support technical changes, upgrades and major project delivery.

You will research, test, implement and document resilient solutions, identify

and manage technical risks and contribute to root cause investigations and

cyber security improvements.

You will work closely with Digital colleagues,

project teams and suppliers, applying your technical expertise to deliver

effective solutions within a complex, fast-paced environment and drive

continuous service improvement.

The role includes

travel across Trust sites and participation in the out-of-hours IT support

on-call rota, as required.

This role

would suit an experienced technical specialist who enjoys solving complex

problems, taking ownership and working in an environment where no two days are

the same.

You will

join a small, highly skilled team with the opportunity to develop your

technical knowledge, work with a broad range of enterprise technologies and

contribute to significant Digital projects and service improvements.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to degree level in an IT related subject or equivalent
  • (e.g., Electrical Electronic or
  • Communication).
  • Industry standard IT qualifications CNE, MCP, MCSE, CompTIA or an equivalent qualification or have relevant experience. Evidence of continued professional development and specialist
  • knowledge.
  • Evidence of continued professional development and specialist knowledge.
  • I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.

Desirable

  • Qualification or Working knowledge of ITIL concepts.
  • Server virtualisation qualification or equivalent knowledge.
  • MCSE or equivalent knowledge.
  • CCNA Qualified.

Experience

Essential

  • Significant proven technical experience of working within a complex server environment.
  • Proven experience of complex infrastructure support.

Desirable

  • Experience of supporting infrastructure and systems within an NHS setting.

Additional Criteria

Essential

  • I understand the Trust is unable to provide sponsorship to work for this role, and employment on a time limited visa doesnt guarantee sponsorship at point of expiry.
