Job description

Please note, this vacancy is internal only, and is open to employees of the Isle of Wight NHS Trust and Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust. Con...

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of two NHS organisations, supporting Boards, Committees and Executive teams to ensure effective decision-making and the highest standards of corporate governance. You will play a key role in coordinating meetings, preparing agendas and papers, producing high-quality minutes, tracking actions, and supporting the delivery of key governance programmes and annual statutory processes.

Working closely with Executive Directors, Non-Executive Directors and senior leaders, you will build strong professional relationships and provide expert administrative and governance support across a wide range of complex and high-profile activities.

We are looking for someone with experience of servicing committees or senior-level meetings, excellent organisational and communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of corporate governance principles and a commitment to delivering a high-quality service are essential.

In return, you will gain valuable exposure to senior leadership and Board-level decision making, while contributing to the effective governance and success of two ambitious NHS organisations.

If you thrive on organisation, enjoy working with senior stakeholders and want to make a meaningful contribution to the governance of NHS services, we would love to hear from you.

Please see enclosed Job Description for further role responsibilities.

Working as a partnership, both Isle of Wight NHS Trust and Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust have a shared vision for excellence in care for our patients and communities; with a set of strategic aims underpinning how we will achieve this.

The single corporate service is delivered across both organisation. You may be based at either IWT or PHU and individuals may be required to undertake business travel between sites. For leaders managing staff across multi-site locations, you will need to be visible and provide in person leadership. The arrangements and frequency will be agreed locally.
