Management and Leadership

Essential: - Experience in the day-to-day clinical management of a Paediatric Dentistry service

Desirable: - Clinical leadership experience in paediatric dentistry; - Qualification in Medical Leadership

Quality Improvement

Essential: - Effective participation in clinical audit/service evaluations & quality improvement

Desirable: - Lead role in the delivery of QI initiatives

Teaching / Training

Essential: - Experience of postgraduate and undergraduate teaching and training, at an appropriate level; - Experience in supervising DCTs & StRs

Desirable: - Teaching qualification

Clinical Experience

Desirable: - Experience in Community Dental Services setting; - Competence in intravenous sedation as an operator-sedationist

Qualifications & Training

Research

Essential: - Ability to critically appraise scientific literature

Registration

Essential: - Full registration with the United Kingdom (UK) General Dental Council (GDC).; - Registered on GDC Specialist list in Paediatric Dentistry, UK
