- The post holder will provide high intensity interventions primarily cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).
- Contribute to the teaching and training of mental health professionals and other staff working within the service.
- Educate and involve family members and others in treatment as necessary, conveying CBT formulations with sensitivity, in easily understood language.
- Ensure that patient and employee information is kept accurate, confidential and secure at all times, in line with the General Data Protection Regulation and Security and Confidentiality Policies.
We support flexible and hybrid working where service delivery allows. The successful applicant will be required to undertake face-to-face appointments across Cornwall and working at least one evening per week, with opportunities for some home working. Flexible working arrangements will be considered in line with service requirements.
A relocation package could be negotiated if relocating to the county that offers temporary remote working during the relocation process.

Knowledge and abilities

- Demonstrates an understanding for the need to use evidence based psychological therapies and how it related to this post
- A good understanding of service contracts and performance targets and of the importance of recording activity
Education / Qualifications and Relevant Experience
Essential
- Post Graduate Masters level qualification in Psychological Therapies Practice (High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) or equivalent
- BABCP accredited
Skills and Aptitude
Essential
- Demonstrate experience of working in mental health settings with clients who present with a range of mental health issues and degrees of complexity in particular anxiety & depression
- Ability to meet agreed/specified service targets by management of own caseload and time
