The Clinical Team Leader for the Out of Hours Nursing Service is responsible for providing clinical leadership and operational support to the out of h...
While the role is primarily undertaken during weekday hours, there is an expectation to provide occasional out of hours cover to support service delivery. This may include starts from 7:00 am or finishes at 9:00 pm, with working hours adjusted accordingly to ensure compliance with Working Time Directive (WTD) requirements. The role requires flexibility, effective leadership, and a commitment to maintaining continuity and quality of care across the service.

Qualifications
Essential
- Be a Registered General Nurse
- Degree in Nursing Studies
- Professional postgraduate qualification in nursing
- Relevant post registered qualifications
- Mentorship qualification
Desirable: - A33 Nurse Practitioner
Knowledge
Essential
- Supervision model
- Knowledge of community nursing
- Knowledge of long term conditions agenda
- Knowledge of end of life care agenda
- Evidence based practice
- Knowledge of the Care Act 2014
- Evidence of professional development
Desirable: - Awareness of local initiatives; - Knowledge of working with different agencies including social care, voluntary and the third sector
Experience
Essential
- Significant demonstrable and recent experience in community nursing
- Demonstrate competency in a wide range of nursing skills
- Mentorship
- Experience of supervising staff
- Experience of managing a team
- IT skills
- Presentation skills and experience
- Experience of budget management
Desirable: - Active involvement in project work; - Basic health and safety awareness
