We are seeking a motivated and experienced clinician to join Somerset NHS Foundation Trust as an IMT3 / ST3--4 equivalent in Respiratory Medicine at Y...
Work as a Tier 2 registrar-level clinician in Respiratory Medicine
Provide senior clinical decision-making for patients on respiratory wards and acute take
Participate in General Internal Medicine on-call rota (approx. 1:13) including nights, weekends, and long days
Supervise junior doctors and provide teaching, support, and feedback
Perform core procedures including
- Chest aspiration and drain insertion
- Lumbar puncture
- Ascitic paracentesis
- Cardioversion
- Contribute to ward rounds, clinical reviews, and multidisciplinary working
- Optional involvement in frailty front door services and stroke rotation

Qualifications
Essential
- GMC registration with licence to practise
- RCUK ALS certification
- MRCP Part 1
Desirable
- MRCP Part 2 & PACES
- Additional postgraduate qualification
Experience
Essential
- Minimum 4 years' NHS experience
- Completion of Core Internal Medicine Training (or equivalent)
- Experience in acute internal medicine
Desirable
- Experience working at IMT3/ST3 level
