Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTM UHB) for a Clinical Director of Pathology Services. This seni...

To be successful, you will have the skills, energy and enthusiasm to lead clinical teams and drive the transformation needed to deliver the highest standards of care. You will inspire others, build strong relationships and play a key role in delivering our ambitious programme of change.

As a member of the senior leadership team, you will bring a strong clinical perspective to strategic decision-making and help foster a culture of excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement.

This is an exciting time to join CTM UHB as we work with regional partners to develop sustainable models of care across both Primary and Secondary Care.

The successful applicant will be a senior doctor, although previous experience within a pathology specialty is not essential. We welcome applications from clinicians across a range of specialties who can demonstrate strong leadership capability, experience of service improvement and a commitment to collaborative working.

You will be supported by experienced Operational Leaders, Consultant Clinical Leads and multidisciplinary teams from within Haematology, Microbiology, Cellular Pathology and Clinical Biochemistry. The focus of the role is on strategic leadership, service development and transformation rather than specialty-specific pathology expertise.

The role typically involves a two session commitment.

A detailed job description outlining the main responsibilities of the role is attached to this vacancy.
