Clinical Director Pathology

This is an exciting time to join CTM UHB as we work with regional partners to develop sustainable models of care across both Primary and Secondary Care.

The successful applicant will be a senior doctor, although previous experience within a pathology specialty is not essential. We welcome applications from clinicians across a range of specialties who can demonstrate strong leadership capability, experience of service improvement and a commitment to collaborative working.

You will be supported by experienced Operational Leaders, Consultant Clinical Leads and multidisciplinary teams from within Haematology, Microbiology, Cellular Pathology and Clinical Biochemistry. The focus of the role is on strategic leadership, service development and transformation rather than specialty-specific pathology expertise.

The role typically involves a two session commitment.

This isnt fluency, just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means being able to communicate in Welsh during routine clinical situations, such as welcoming patients, discussing straightforward aspects of their care and answering routine questions.
